Keene power sluice 1659 2
Started by Cwarriorminename@hotmail.com
So I put together a 2” highbanker/ dredge combo using all Keene products. Keene A52 sluice box, hopper, dredge riffles, stand, Honda GXH50 motor with p90 pump on it. I am mainly going to use it as a dredge. My question is how much drop do I put on the box and how much flow should I have going through the box for the best recovery of gold I’d post a video of the set up running but I don’t see that option available here.

Eagle Rock 1 and 2 on Burnt River 1598 1
Started by kylefogg786@hotmail.com
Hey all! I'm new to the GPAA and am planning a camping/prospecting trip to the Eagle Rock 1 and 2 claims on Burnt River in mid-July. Can anyone give me some insight into the accessibility of these claims I see from map images that it is located across the river, and begins just East of the prospecting pits/tailings/mine dumps, but I do not see a bridge or footpath for crossing the river. Can it be crossed on foot is there access somewhere else along the river I assume because the cla...

looking for new places to go. 1899 1
Started by randy82271@gmail.com
i have been in prospecting for only a year. Only place i really been was Alabama gold camp. I am looking for place to set up a tent. Get away from everyone. Anyone know a claim or private property that will let someone camp and dig a creek over a weekend from time to time. Dont really enjoy pay piles feel they know what im getting before i do. And not setup to dredge yet. Just high banker or sluice for now. And must be 2x4 accessible, And will not leave a mess.

Mining Guide vs. Land Matters 1595 0
Started by borregomark@aol.com
I am getting familiar with the GPAA Mining Guide and LandMatters.org. I noticed the Mining Guide maps (pg 131) for Gold Prospectors 1&2 and Warrior are 1/4 of the official registered claims area in LandMatters. Am I reading this correctly Is there a separate GPAA members area within the claims Thank you for the clarification. Mark Andrews

Idaho Claims Open? 4939 4
Started by cw@kalisoft.com
I know most, if not all of the national forest campgrounds are closed in Idaho, but wondering if someone can still access the GPAA claims Thinking some of the claims would be a good place to 'shelter in place' for a week or so. If anyone knows anything, would appreciate some info.

mining directory/BLM problems 1808 5
Started by tim270holmes@gmail.com
Where do I find the directory on line. I can find the member reviews but not the actual directory. I did not request a new guide when I renewed. Next problem last year I was going to hit the new claims near Salmon Id. I went to the BLM/Forest service filed NOI got that. Then two weeks later got a letter from the district ranger suspending my work untill they checked for artifacts. The area has been minded by big outfits since the 1800s. Most of the section where the claim is located is claimed ...

Mining Relic's of the Mother lode 1170 0
Started by smithsgold@aol.com
https://youtu.be/139UoRP5_Cc There are relic's from the California Gold Rush all over the State. The pictures in the video are from Grass Valley to Beckwourth and just about every camp or village in between. When Gold was discovered in California in 1848 it started a mass expedition to the territory in search of great wealth. I hope you enjoy the pictures and the video I just love visiting the Historic mining towns and sites .

Maps 1560 2
Started by ricksmail@gmx.com
HH Engineering in Orlando, Fl sells 'Gold Maps' purported to contain info from numerous geological/mining/ gov sources-with GPS coordinates. I know I could get most of this myself, but at 29 bucks for a state map with hundreds of sites, GPS, Ghost Towns, it sounds enticing. Has anyone purchased from these folks and if so, are you satisfied Thanks in advance Rick
