5 Replies and 2221 Views New to GPAA  2221  5 Started by  plmrphil@aol.com I’m finding very little information about locations on the website. I have an RV and can’t find information on which locations I can stay at. Or for haw long and Amenities. Also I do not find a map of locations. I have to google each one Individually. Than they give me the information for the general public. How does being a member of GPAA differ, I must be missing something. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Phil

8 Replies and 3156 Views Prospecting permit  3156  8 Started by  johnrmckeel@gmail.com I am new to prospecting and plan an outing to southern Nevada in the next few weeks. I wanted to go to one of the GPAA claims and explore. I read in my copy of the Mining Guide that I am required to have the guide with me, my membership card to GPAA and a 'Prospecting Permit'. I don't recall this permit. I assume it would have come in my membership package but can't find anything. How can I obtain one Thank you.

1 Replies and 1483 Views What to do with lead and iron trash?  1483  1 Started by  woltersaustin@yahoo.com Hey guys I'm wondering what people do with the trash they find I know people take pride in removing lead, iron, mercury, etc from creeks and just general mining areas. However I'm more city slicker than redneck even though I grew up in Dallas. I'm not really sure if there's a good use or safe way to dispose of some of this stuff. I assume we don't want to just chunk it back into our local landfills via the trash, so I'm looking for the best way to deal with it. Thanks in advance for any advice!...

Here is a claim I am interested in going to this month - GOLD PROSPECTORS 1, 2 & WARRIOR I can get my hands on a GPS unit if it makes it easier.
