Started by EwasteNRefining@gmail.com
I would like to put my 4” in the water but have been searching locations and dealing with who or how to file for permit. Also new to prospecting but have all the required equipment. Looking to meet new people and possibly someone to do dredging weekend or week trips with. Two dredges are better than one. Trying to figure this forum and service out as well. If there is a way to private message each other please feel free to do so. Sorry I’m advamce if I shouldn’t have made this post again new ...

Prospecting permit 2862 8
Started by johnrmckeel@gmail.com
I am new to prospecting and plan an outing to southern Nevada in the next few weeks. I wanted to go to one of the GPAA claims and explore. I read in my copy of the Mining Guide that I am required to have the guide with me, my membership card to GPAA and a 'Prospecting Permit'. I don't recall this permit. I assume it would have come in my membership package but can't find anything. How can I obtain one Thank you.

New to GPAA 1062 0

I’m finding very little information about locations on the website. I have an RV and can’t find information on which locations I can stay at. Or for haw long and Amenities. Also I do not find a map of locations. I have to google each one Individually. Than they give me the information for the general public. How does being a member of GPAA differ, I must be missing something. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Phil

What to do with lead and iron trash? 1352 1
Started by woltersaustin@yahoo.com
Hey guys I'm wondering what people do with the trash they find I know people take pride in removing lead, iron, mercury, etc from creeks and just general mining areas. However I'm more city slicker than redneck even though I grew up in Dallas. I'm not really sure if there's a good use or safe way to dispose of some of this stuff. I assume we don't want to just chunk it back into our local landfills via the trash, so I'm looking for the best way to deal with it. Thanks in advance for any advice!...

Started by Petekottke@gmail.com
Perhaps some of my veteran prospectors can help me. The claim page gives me two gps coordinates (center and ingress points) How do I find the other 3 corners I don't want to cross over into someone else's claim or private property. Here is a claim I am interested in going to this month - GOLD PROSPECTORS 1, 2 & WARRIOR I can get my hands on a GPS unit if it makes it easier.

Just heard today that quartzville road is closed at milepost 14 due to a slide. No word yet on length of closure. Access might still be available from hwy 22 via Straight Creek road, but it may be snowed in or down trees. User beware and take appropriate caution.
