Information on Triple D and M claim 3611 4
Started by gabrielmcguffey@gmail.com
Hello, I was wondering if anybody from the staff has any information on the Triple D and M claim in Ventura County, CA on Piru Creek. It is the closest claim to my house and there is no information under the directions or prospecting tabs in the claim directory. I haven't received my member package in the mail yet but was hoping to read something on the claim in the meantime.

How to find prospecting areas 1573 1
Started by forrest.j.mcdonald@gmail.com
So I know how to check Alaskan state/federal claims. Is it ok to just look up claimed areas and prospect the unclaimed portions 100 meters up/down stream I am new to this and I don't know if there are prospecting etiquette rules. Being in Alaska, I don't want to get shot in the woods.

LDMA vs GMAA 2655 5
Started by ricksmail@gmx.com
Hello Folks-I'm curious-I asked this of the HQ members, but no reply. That's ok, they're busy--but I'd like to know. What is the difference in the GMAA and the LDMA I see events that are attended by both groups. The LD costs $4800 and the GMAA costs $155 for 3 years. I don't understand the relationship. Are the claims the same What's the deal. Should I join the LDMA Are the claims in the Mining Guide the same for both groups Which is better Thanks in advance. Rick T

Who has the Right to Classify ME as a Greenhorn ? 1546 4

I worked inside 50' Tunnels and Mines since 1968 as a Powder Man Blasting 'Bazooka' loads of 480 Sticks from 150' away with a Special 'NET' Weaved From Shipping 10' Dock Ropes because five (5) miles to the entrance was too far to Run before it goes off and getting up off the deck with a bloody nose after it went off. I remember Clearing Powder Charges that didn't go off. I remember being one of a the FEW Miners skinny enough to fit between a 50' Concrete Casing and the Jagged Rocks of the Moun...

Patented Placer Claims 1689 3
Started by jlenterprizesllc@gmail.com
I have acquired access to mine a patented placer claim & my scans indicate a concentrated deposit under a bench adjacent to the river as it now exists. I have attempted to contact BLM & Corp of Engineers to no avail, China Virus. I am sure there is a set-back distance from the river bank, has anyone delt w/ this situation I intend to remove the overburden & create a pond to Suction Dredge & would be isolated from the river. The claim is in Colorado & Suction Dredging is allowed in my area, alth...

Idaho Prospectors 1594 1
Started by bhoward34@yahoo.com
I am completely new to prospecting. As a matter of fact I have never been at all. I have joined this community to gain information to help me plan a trip to Idaho later this year. I guess my biggest questions are: 1.) Are there prospectors out in Northern Idaho that take on Greenhorns for prospecting trips aside from the group trips that I see on the site 2.) If so what are the costs involved to the guide 3.) Are there places to rent equipment out there since I live in NY and cant prospec...

Gold Prospectors 1, 2 & Warrior (San Diego, CA) 2746 8
Started by zerdoff@gmail.com
I went to GOLD PROSPECTORS 1, 2 & WARRIOR twice for 3 hours and found only nails and bullets so far. So I got few questions to save some time in the future. - Does this area contain any metal detectable gold Does it worth trying there with metal detector - Are there any other trails besides the one which starts at the picnic area - Does anyone plan to go there soon I could use some company. FYI: I'm 33 and I'm new to gold prospecting.

Keene power sluice 1419 2
Started by Cwarriorminename@hotmail.com
So I put together a 2” highbanker/ dredge combo using all Keene products. Keene A52 sluice box, hopper, dredge riffles, stand, Honda GXH50 motor with p90 pump on it. I am mainly going to use it as a dredge. My question is how much drop do I put on the box and how much flow should I have going through the box for the best recovery of gold I’d post a video of the set up running but I don’t see that option available here.

Can it be crossed on foot is there access somewhere else along the river I assume because the cla...

looking for new places to go. 1701 1
Started by randy82271@gmail.com
i have been in prospecting for only a year. Only place i really been was Alabama gold camp. I am looking for place to set up a tent. Get away from everyone. Anyone know a claim or private property that will let someone camp and dig a creek over a weekend from time to time. Dont really enjoy pay piles feel they know what im getting before i do. And not setup to dredge yet. Just high banker or sluice for now. And must be 2x4 accessible, And will not leave a mess.
