We're finally heading to the frozen tundra after a few years of planning and setbacks. Trying to get some info on the GPA claims in/around the Fairbanks area. Hi Group, I live in KY and looking to do a little prospecting in OH. In the member properties activity section I see some private claims called Spriggs, and Swanks West & East. In one of the Spriggs pictures I see a claim sign reading Southern OH Tri-State Chapter. The other two private claims called Swank's, how do I go about finding out which Chapter hosts it's outings

I am sure that we all know what paydirt is and how it works. Many times, I have seen people go crazy over the paydirt because they do not get dollar for dollar in the gold. I have some stamp mill fines from Blackhawk, Colorado. After screening them, I ran a few scoops with my gold pan. I'm seeing some very fine gold as well as some dark gray material (not black sands) which is heavier than the gold. I was thinking galena (lead ore), but although lead is heavier than gold on the periodic table, galena is less dense. Any idea what the dark gray material is and any suggestions on how to separate it from the gold Thanks for any information you provide.
