I have the 2020 50th anniversary edition mining guide. Is this the most recent edition? If not, how do I go about upgrading? If it is the most recent, how often do they put out a new guide?

I find that the guide is a lot more helpful on claim boundaries than the website. Many of the website claims only have an ingress and a center point (sometimes). When they are in the guide, they tend to have more information........or is there some secret menu online that I don't know about where I can access it all? lol

    Thanks, Robert

I feel your pain. The best advice I can give is they need to be used together. The online claims are the most accurate as far as still active from what I've learned. I would check online first then go to the guide for any additional info not listed online.
Wish it were more organized myself.
    Good luck

That’s my latest edition, and I also prefer the printed guide as well as a reference when there’s no phone signal while out in the bush.

The GPAA continues to lose ground, down to 217 claims now, from 220 on 02/01/25…and 221 on 11/24/24! Not good and not the direction George Massie would like.

If nobody has answered you, you can purchase one from the store or call the GPAA directly and let them know you need to buy an updated one.

they give you a guide when you first join, if you lost a guidebook you need to contact the GPAA and order a new one.

that has nothing to do with bad leadership, when claims become "not worthy", they are released back so the public can take them over again, OR the owners of the claims can simply ask for them back. also disputes from the landowners, public lands, state etc. etc. the claims come and go, here in AZ we had a few claims that never got used turned over, they also had issues of Owners who passed away and when that happens especially on a huge 120 acre for example that's 6 designated owners need to be listed on that claim. if the person in charge of maintaining those claim fees isn't made aware of a death, then he/she cannot simply put their name down and forge a signature. that would be very bad. but there has been claims that have been worked harder than a monkey with a jack in the box at a street corner carnival.
