2 Replies and 1971 Views Equipment  1971  2 Started by  anthony.ingersoll2@outlook.com I have been prospecting for a bit with just a gold pan, classifiers and the like. However, the reviews seem like they are split down the middle 50/50. So my question is this; which one would you recommend and why Also, in regards to the videos; if you could post some links so I can check them out, ...

I'm looking into buying a portable 12v battery power supply for my Keene Mini Max, Would like to find out if anyone has good advice and recommendations on a product brand that's not to pricey but dependable, small, lightweight for hauling in a hunting backpack and will run two 12v 1250GPH water pumps for a good 4 hours or more. Best, EJ

0 Replies and 1738 Views New Report from Colorado  1738  0 Started by  crashcrain@gmail.com I went down with the BLM to our claim,'I call the walk into hell is easy, it's much harder to find your way out.' River conditions were awful, feet higher then just a few week ago and the head of the river and snow are forming a glacier that is going to break loose at some point this summer, the main melt has not even started as of yet. I am going to give a serious compl...

I just purchased a 3 year membership to the GPAA and plan on taking the wife and kids out to a claim this weekend to camp and pan a little for the first time. I am wondering if it is ok to have a campfire and maybe roast some marshmallows and hot dogs

3 Replies and 2691 Views How do I evaluate a ledge or out-cropping of quartz?  2691  3 Started by  ki6rcm98@gmail.com I found a ledge or out-cropping of quartz and would like to evaluate it. I have a Garrett AT-Gold and a pin pointer. Can I scan the quartz with either of these to see if any gold is present I also have a sniper coil for the AT-Gold which I could try. Once I clear the brush I'm planning to scrape and brush the m...
