GPAA Publications – An Interactive Online Experience

Gold Prospectors magazine and the Pick & Shovel Gazette have been accessible online for a couple years, but just recently has viewing these publications on the web been an interactive experience. We’ve implemented a new e-viewer with enhanced capabilities, giving you more control over the way the content is displayed. When you first access the new viewer, you’ll be given an opportunity to take a tour of the many features available.

Our goal in the Membership Services department is to provide all members of the Gold Prospectors Association of America with exceptional customer service, continued communication and support. Our priority is to make sure our members’ needs are met for GPAA, Gold Life and the Lost Dutchman’s Mining Association. We also handle subscriptions to Gold Prospectors magazine, reservations for scheduled outings, and provide information about local GPAA chapters. We always strive to help solve any problem that arises, and provide you with a solution.

The following article by the Western Mining Alliance pinpoints the weaknesses in the scientific studies on which the California suction dredge mining ban was based. The original two-year moratorium, which has been dragged out in the courts to become a de facto ban, was imposed statewide in 2009 and continues to this day.
