3 Replies and 7350 Views Solar panels to run a bilge pump for prospecting?  7350  3 Started by  duluthian25.zapp@gmail.com I am curious about using solar panel to run my 1500 GPH bilge pump for my recirc system. Any suggestions Batteries can be very heavy and cumbersome to trek into remote areas of Arizona. I am curious if you have any suggestions about the size/wattage for solar panels. It is a 12v 8 amp (12 amp internally fused) bilge pump.

2 Replies and 7369 Views Getting maps of claims  7369  2 Started by  plumberkris@gmail.com So is there any where or way to get ahold of claim boundaries in areas where one would want to stake a claim. I've checked out the blm 2000 thing and can find the claims in the section and the corners of that section. So from there how does one know where the claims are so they don't stake on top or over lap another. Lots of places I've been I haven't seen or been able to find claim markers. Thanks Kris

5 Replies and 8761 Views vein mountain ldma camp winter closing  8761  5 Started by  rcarr4803@yahoo.com Hello Kevin, I called ldma office to confirm that they are closing the vein mountain for the winter. Was sorry to hear. We was there about four years ago in Feb and March and have been unable to get back due to sickness. Finally sold our business and was planning on going down this winter. Was wondering what the reason behind it is and if it is going to be temporary. They said it was due to not many using during the winter months and couldn't see paying a caretaker for just two or three people. ...

(to which he's given me all access) all the old reports from azgs indicate .23 to .7 ozt however, there is nothing to indicate whether is was free mill or Sulfides or Telurides. there was a mill on site back in the day. closed down in 1943. so in general terms Is there any indicators in the geology of an area that might give clues as to the type of gold you might find I know its a broad question but I'm always look...

9 Replies and 37420 Views South Carolina RIvers and Dredging?  37420  9 Started by  freddie.beckjr@yahoo.com Just wondering who to contact regarding small 4 inch or less dredging in the main rivers of South Carolina and how to go about doing so legally. The main rivers I am wanting to know about are the Broad, Saluda, Little Saluda, And Tiger, ok and any other rivers for that matter. If the river travels thru private property on both sides, is it legal to prospecting in the river itself without permission (what some people call no mans land : 3 feet from the banks). Just wondering what are the regulati...

12 Replies and 9734 Views Research  9734  12 Started by  tpleibel@gmail.com So I have gotten pretty good with the LR2000 website. But if are not local, how do you find books on the history of an area. Looking at a closed claim on google earth, does not really tell me it ever really produced gold. I find my self driving on the highway and seeing layers in the cuts and wonder if there was ever mining in that area. Would love to get some guidance on how to start research on an area.
