6 Replies and 4587 Views Does Anyone own A super Hog that can give me some dimensions?  4587  6 Started by  Rawdoggoffroad  My wife will not let me buy a super Hogg High banker, but she didn't question it when I ordered two sheets of aluminum. I am a seasoned metal fabricator and have all the equipment to build one, but I am lacking some details on the header box like dimensions and how the reverse riffle works on the first sluice. How long is the drop down Zone and how long is the opening under the grizzly bars. This is all new to me I just joined GPAA and started prospecting a couple months ago and have decid...

Would it be a good idea to add a boot or flap (very light rubber) at the discharge or base of the hopper to assist with smoothing the water flow Thank you for your time, Dan

5 Replies and 2938 Views What type of battery to use when highbanking?  2938  5 Started by  bladboy2@gmail.com Hey guys, I recently bought a Keene Mini Max and want to pack it into some remote areas on a backpack. The highbanker has a 12v battery operated pump so I wanted to ask those with experience what they would recommend using to power the highbanker I saw online that amps makes a big different in how long you can run for. But typically the more amps the more weight you will be lugging around. Ultimately I would like to run the highbanker for 5-6 hours a day for a whole week. But sinc...

2 Replies and 5869 Views Best utility tub made?  5869  2 Started by  live2hunt I'll be working my recirculating highbanker this year and have been wondering if there is one utility tub/tote made tougher than the rest I'd need it to not only hold water ( of course), but to store the buckets, sump pump, screens and such and be durable enough for some tough hauling into and out of gold producing ground.

10 Replies and 23212 Views Grizzly bars, expanded metal or punch plate?  23212  10 Started by  Fishroper828 I want to spending the winter building a high banker hopper that I can attach to my Keene A52 and I was hoping some of you would weigh in on you own preferences as to which you prefer. I know they each have pros and cons, but having limited funds for the project and no welder I was hoping for ideas and suggestions so I can move forward with confidence and not waste money on an idea I may have that won't work.

I've been highbanking there before and I strictly follow the highbanking guidelines ( leaching, motor catch pan, distances from the water, etc.) but I'm worried that I m...

8 Replies and 14129 Views Water Jet Nozzles for the hopper???  14129  8 Started by  joebiggidybob@yahoo.com Hi, I built a river sluse that converts to a high banker, It will have 8ft of gold hog mats and a hopper from South yuba. The hopper will have 1'1\2 pvc shooting from 3 sides and I was wondering what works best for a pressure nozzles for this application. What I have found so far is pressure washer nozzles but will these have enough volume for the flow in the sluse I was trying to get a fanning nozzles to wash more area than just drilling holes. Any ideas thanks for your input.
