Who's ready to get out and find some treasure/gold 2399 8
Started by aztreasurehunter@outlook.com
If anyone is interested in meeting up to go do some treasure hunting or gold mining/panning please let me know. I am new to the hobby and enjoying every moment. That said i have my own equipment so I am ready to go. I prefer to prospect and explore with a group. It gets kind of sketchy being in the desert by yourself.

Started by raklineplumbing
I purchased a 36'alluvial highbanker I extended the top 12' and added extra rib matting and 1/8 punch plate , also added more water flow at top much like a gold hog has, using a 30 gpm sump pump run off a Honda eu1000 generator, I have great flow and been tuning on it.. my question is what are your go to ways of setting sluice pitch, 1' per foot, finger in sluice, was told to use a small stone, love to hear some ideas. thanks

I am a recently new member to GPAA. I have prospected in Washington state and go by the gold and fish pamphlet which lays out all of the regulations pretty well and are required to have the pamphlet on your person which is your permit/ HPA. For Oregon I am having trouble finding rules and regulations on prospecting and mining. Like what practices are legal vs illegal and times of year you can use certain equipment and such. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find this info And if the...

Arsenopyrite questions/concerns from a newbie 1993 3
Started by alex.nutu@student.prescott.edu
Hi friends, I am very new member and new to prospecting, I found a place near Prescott that had signs of digging around it on open land, and I came across what I think is ArsenoPyrite, lots of it, in addition to regular pyrite and maybe some chalcopyrite. Is it safe to handle Arsenopyrite does one need gloves, a mask, or should I not even bother with the stuff I got freaked out when I identified the mineralization I found as Arsenopyrite, have never heard of it before but really don't want Ars...

My wife got me a membership for Christmas. And I wanted to introduce myself. I’m located in West Virginia and I know that it’s been said there’s no gold in WV. But I find that hard to believe. Gold has been found in Ohio and in Virginia don’t see how it skipped WV. But anyway just wanted to introduce myself. Just ordered a Gold Bug Pro from Kellyco last night. Look forward to meeting some of you and finding gold. See ya around

Road tripping 1510 1

So I’m from Maine and this is our off season. I’m brand new to the gpaa but have been prospecting for a few years now. I’ve recently went through a pretty bad break up and I’m off work for the rest of the month. So what better of a time to go out and dig. Was curious what states out west where still able to be prospected and or what claims I should check out through the gpaa. I would only be bringing a river sluice and pans. Since I will most likely end up be sleeping in my car I won’t have much...

Park Co. Montana 1792 2

I noticed in my Gold Prospector magazine that Ole Miner & Seven-Dee in Park Co. Montana had recently received reviews. Logging into the mining Guide to check the reviews out , Park county doesn't seem to be listed. My Physical copy of my Mining Guide was stolen a while back so I'm not sure if it is listed, just not online. If anyone can help me out with coordinates or additional info on Park Co. That would be awesome Thanks
