Looking for a claim that was in an old issue of mining guide. Don't remember the exact year.
Around 1992 or 1994 there was a claim in Georgia that was Army Corp of Engineers as lead title of claim.
Small creek that had a dam across it at bridge. My first flake of gold was here. My stepson is interested in seeing that claim.
Trying to get him interested in prospecting and showing him place where I found my first would make his day.
    Thanks Lennes Hebert
    Abbeville, La.

as far as directions , all i can say is Two Hoops and a Holler north by north-west of Atlanta , Georgia ! Any regulations on digging you need to contact the folks at the park . the one thing I am aware of is that they do not allow prospecting per-say , but they do allow digging with a shovel and use of gold pan's but only in the creek channel . There is a web site on this location with just a bit of info. , Contacting them is your one best bet , and good luck in your venture !
