Started by rambovanhesling@gmail.com
I saw in the rules that family can be with you if you have a gpaa membership. Also you can have guests , my family is much older and cannot go with me . Do friends count as guests and is so are they allowed to help me dig as my back isn’t what it used to be Any information would be appreciated. Thank you

Sluicing 22 0
Started by rambovanhesling@gmail.com
I saw this message and just want to make sure running a sluice box in a creek or river and having excess material wash out of it doesn’t break the rules. Also what classifies as stream bank material “not remove stream bank material, destroy natural vegetation or woody debris dams, nor discharge excess silt into the waterways,” What am I allowed to dig to check for gold on a claim in the area Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Stream sluice? 21572 8
Started by y.jaron@gmail.com
Hi I’m new to running a stream sluice and was wondering if you need to worry about blowing out your box if you leave it in the water while you go for 15 mins or so to dig and classify more material. Or should I stockpile a lot of classified material ahead of time and run all at once then clean out. Does anyone have any advice Specifically I have a Keene A52. Thanks

Is Bazooka dead? Sluice suggestions? 84917 15
Started by greenhalgh.roy@gmail.com
I was wondering if anyone heard anything about the company that made the Bazooka gold trap sluices. I was just trying to see how much a bigger version would cost when I noticed their Facebook has not been used in about 2 years, their website has been down for 'maintenance' and there is nothing for sale on eBay. Kind of sucks since my wife designed a single slip on adapter to make it a power sluice. Needed a bigger one for flow testing. If they are gone could anyone suggest, in their opi...

Setting up stream sluice 15659 3
Started by rockyegner@hotmail.com
This past weekend I setup my GH mini stream sluice for the first time in an stream area with flat manageable water flow. What I discovered when sloping the sluice to move material at suggested 1' per foot, the end of the sluice is underwater about 4' to 6' up the sluice. The end of my sluice remaining underwater while I run material won't be an issue with loosing gold will it I do make a hole underwater for the tailings to drop in to. Newbie running first sluice ever. As I think on it any angl...

Gold Hog Mini Stream Sluice Header Box 8674 0
Started by rockyegner@hotmail.com
I bought the GH mini stream sluice box w/legs. Didn't buy the piglet because I didn't care for the use and fit it on the 10' flare for the mini sluice. I know Doc designed the setup for reverse washing but almost all videos of everyone using it turns the piglet around so water flows down the sluice. I'm search a header to fit better and the dream mat 10' header (maybe 8') box looks perfect for the 10' flare. Has anyone tried this combination yet

I have NO idea what pump to buy and what battery to power it. I was hoping y'all could give me a hand with advice! The sluice is the Raptor Flare 2.0 Highbanker any help will be MUCH appreciated!! The website says 'Runs on a cheap 2″ semi-trash pump (reduced down to 1.5)″ To my understanding; the more amps per ho...

Royal miller table and Deep V groove mat. 23132 7
Started by 33oneworld@gmail.com
I run a homemade double sluice with deep groove and shallow groove mats. I have found alot of dust and specks. Seems to be easier to pan and find gold the sluice is at 4 degrees with gentle water flow but clean outs not so good. I repanned some and still gold not being caught by the sluice. So i ordered the Royal table. Should i just bite the bullet and get gold hog mats Any thoughts or experience on water tables and mats Thank you Andy

How many gph of water do you need to catch flour gold with a 10' wide sluice with a vortex type mat. I've tried 5-7° with terrible results. I was told I need to run it between 11° -17° but that just seems way to steep for such microscopic gold to have time to drop out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Clean up sluice 19814 4
Started by bendersemail@yahoo.com
Just curious of what clean up sluice people prefer. Yes I understand & know everyone has there options, but would like to hear true justifications, love or hate. I currently have a Miller table, blue bowl and keene miracle mat sluice, but have since started eyeing a 4 tray gold cube with dream mat, micro/ mini & D mat. I’ve got more stream sluices than 1) man should own, (I.e. sluice with Talon Gold Hog, another with Yukon Gold Hog, sluice with Dream Mat, Keene A52, so on & so on). Any insight...

Best travel sluice 18979 3
Started by totalappliance@frontier.com
Hello everyone, I'm a new member with some panning experience but would like to speed up my concentrate making. I travel frequently around the US with my job, almost always on a plane. So I'm looking for a sluice that I can pack in my bag so I can be more productive with the time I have available. I plan on finish panning at home but would like to get a higher production.

California River Sluice 17750 2
Started by waugh1198@gmail.com
Just picked up one of these, and wondering on initial setup, as to water depth and how much drop on a 40' box. I realize that to some extent water depth is dependent on speed of flow, and how much drop to have material make the trip through. Going to give it a try next time I'm out.
