HEY BUDEE 8

COME TO THE AREA SAME AS ALL THE OTHER DIRECTIONS. WHEN YOU GET NEAR THE HEY BUDEE 1 CLAIM A TRAIL WILL TURN SOUTH AND PASSES THROUGH THE CENTER OF THE CLAIM. THE ROAD IS NOT A ROAD AT ALL BUT A TRAIL THAT YOUR TRUCK CAN DRIVE. IF YOU ARE IN A 2 WHEEL DRIVE STAY ON COOLGARDIE ROAD AND ENTER ON THE TRAIL THAT TRAVELS BACK EAST FROM COOLGARDIE ROAD AS THAT ONE IS BETTER FOR LOWER CLEARANCE VEHICLES. I DRIVE A 4X4 CHEVY SO THE TRAIL WAS NO PROBLEM. FYI PLENTY OF INTERESTING SPOTS ON THE WAY OVER.
YOU CAN SEE THAT THE DARKER ROCK ON THE HILLS BEHIND LOOK LIKE THEY ARE WASHING DOWN TO THE WEST FROM THE CLAIM

The correct GPS coordinates for the South/East corner of the claim are: 35 degrees 05' 35" N and -117 degrees 04' 24" W. For the North/West corner: 35 degrees 05' 48.22" N and -117 degrees 04' 39.40" W.
From Barstow, take Irwin Road north. Turn left onto Copper City Road. Just past the top of the hill, there's a marker on the left side of the road (BM3960). Continue past the marker for 3/4-mile and turn left on Coolgardie Road (4' steel pipe with yellow paint on top) near a stand of Joshua trees. Continue on Coolgardie Road for 5.9-miles to an access road on the left. Follow the road 209 yards to the top of the claim.
