used Google maps and up the 15 off at the Oak Hill followed google maps like prior years- got to one point on Genie trail going west and a guy has a barbed wire fence across the trail and a motorhome with private property signs. stay to the left when you hit the wire fence and follow it to the train tracks unless you have 4 wheel drive as the road that connects back to Genie trail is a steep one with ruts. non 2 wheel accessible so stay on the low road that runs along the RR tracks and follow it. you will pass signs for Valley Prospectors Summit claims and then you will hit the lower section and road for GPAA claims and you can get back to Genie trail there. Hope this helps- Give me a thumbs up if it does-

We came from the south - i15, exit 138 going East. Go through the big cuts then left on Summit Post Office Road (gravel). There is a RR crossing - the gate was open for us and looks like it had been open for quite a while - cross, then continue past the little memorial up to the next tracks and cross them - go right along the frontage road to get to both the southern end of the double claim and to the road getting to the middle claim and the Shadow Lode.

If this is closed, head back (it's like 10 minutes max) to i15, go north to Ranchero Road, right before the RR tracks is the frontage road - take a right onto it and just cruise. It's NOT difficult when it's dry. I didn't hit 4x4 at all. You'll come across a controlled crossing - that's not what you want. stay on the frontage road another 10 minutes and you'll get to the claims. This is quite a bit longer, but is still quite an easy drive.

138 is your best bet into claim . If your coming from the 15 freeway just come up the 138 eastbound and make a left on SUMMIT POST RD then cross both train crossings after that stick to the road next to upper train tracks by making a right go up the side of the tracks for a little more then a quarter mile and your there. this passage is always open its a public road for crying out loud !!! the trains cant block public roads . we all pay good money not be missled . just saying

I used to be able to head south on Escondido Ave , then right onto Tower road until I cross over the railroad tracks. But that is not the case anymore. There is a a steel railroad beam that was thrown across either by residents or by BLM along with a high Bank of dirt. You can't cross it. This first picture shows where the blockade is set up. I will try and go around off of 138 and see if I can approach that way. Will update those directions later today.
