Traveling east from Auburn and points west, take the offramp to Emigrant Gap, turn right and then right again onto Texas Hill road. Stay on the paved, narrow road to the North Fork Campground (open during our last visit to the Claim). There are turn outs that allow for parking and that provide access to the claim that lies on both sides of the road. Access to the river in the lower corner of the claim has been made easier by a bladed dirt path made by tree cutters.
