Spent about 4 hours digging with my son. We stayed creekside, where there was fast enough flow to run a Bazooka sluice. We started at the bridge and worked our way upstream sampling until we found a few flakes in both our pans. Nothing big, and probably less than 1/4 gram, but at least there was some color in the clean-up.
The sun was brutal until 4:00 or so, then we finally started getting a little shade. Saw 2 other prospectors, enjoying the sun more than digging, same as us.
