The East Swank makes it ideal for serious prospecting. It is tricky to locate and once you do, make sure you have a 4wd if is at all muddy. Camping here is very primitive but it is beautiful. We dredged up great finds including old coins and small pickers at the East Swank and will definitely be back to explore other areas of this beautiful location.

Swank East
Pretty easy access even with the tight narrow trail thru the woods. The river was less than 2 feet deep on average when I was there. I found the clay layer to be only about 18 inches down. I was only here about 4 hours dredging. Got a little bit of gold and a little bit of lead. :)
