‘Friday’s Joy’ expected to fetch more than $190,000

A lucky Australian prospector near has unearthed an 145-ounce monster gold nugget, according to a report released by Minelab. The nugget was aptly named “Friday’s Joy” because it was found on a recent Friday morning in Central Victoria’s Golden Triangle.

 A caravan of wounded military veterans and their families ventured out to the Arizona desert in the spring to learn the fine art of gold prospecting.

The Gold Prospectors Association of Phoenix, a local chapter of the Gold Prospectors Association of America, hosted the April 9 outing in conjunction with the Wounded Warrior Project.

Does a treasure-laden Nazi train lie buried inside a secret, underground tunnel in Poland? No one knows for sure but signs point to “yes” and the dig for it began today. Last year, city authorities in Walbrzych  granted permission to two teams of fieldworkers attempting to locate the train, believed to have been carrying guns, gems, and gold, perhaps up to 300 tons of the precious metal.
