    Hello all! I will be in Phoenix for a week in early February with my metal detector, and am hoping for some suggestions on places to explore.

    From my research, I am looking at the Vulture Bait claim and the Soldier Boy/Double JJ claims to take my detector to. I would love some information/additional insights on the two claims and which may give me a chance to find some gold.

    Try to get to a local chapter outing! GPAP always has outings if you can make one of them or at least contact the club. They will have some helpful info.
    Quartzite club also is a very active area. Visit the local Miners Depot shop. You can join their own club which own claims right next to the GPAA claim called Flatfoot. You can join them for like $20 or so. Good luck. P.S. They have a gold show on Feb 14/15/16 2026.
