I am a newbie and we are planning a trip to Arizona in late Sept early Oct. Our Main destination is Maricopa County claims but we are coming from Houston in RV and would like to stop in Tombstone for a couple of days to sightsee and thought we would hit one of the claims listed in the Mining guide for Cochise County. I went to check website for any possible new additions since publication and found no listings for Cochise county. Does this mean the two GPAA properties listed in the guide are no longer active claims?

They don't seem to be showing up for me either. Maybe someone in the area can chime in.
The Maricopa Group is still giving up color though. Plan for the conditions ahead of time. It's dry as a bone now, so dry washing is the go to. Hopefully we see some good monsoon rains to replenish the desert vegetation. Might consider a recirculating high banker if it's damp under the top couple inches of material.

Yup they no longer exist as the one in Ash Canyon is now done by HPA. I tried finding the one in Millers and it is now marked by a private claim....Happy hunting
