    What happen to Kern Claims? i live in Tulare county, but i do not see Kern claims, what happen to the Kern claims, seen them last year..

    The Keysville recreational mining area is still there. 400 acres open to the public. Check with Bakersfield BLM office for more info.

    The only one I see missing is the CLC claim. Tried CLC once, not much luck. I'm going to miss that claim, it showed promise. Not sure what happened. They use to have one on Hogeye gulch but someone went in and hauled a big load of dirt and they didn't fill the hole. BLM and the owner had enough and pulled it. Too bad, it was a good producer for fine gold.
