Live in the kc area, but typically vacation in New Mexico or Arizona. Have some equipment... Bazooka gold trap 24" sniper, jobe45 sluice, & cascade mini high banker. Looking to prospect ne Kansas, nw missouri,sw Iowa, & se Nebraska. I wouldn't consider myself a novice, but I'm sure I can be schooled! I've found minimal amounts of gold in Kansas, but color none the less! Reply to the post/ thread and hopefully we can schedule a prospecting trip.

We are in Coffeyville, Ks but havent seen anything out here. If we happen to stumble upon color we will let you know..We are willing to drive up that way for some high banking/dredging.. We also have a Whites Mxt metal detector

I am in Olathe KS.  Found some very fine color in the Arkansas river near Wichita, but nothing close to the KC area.  I am a novice as well, but wouldn't mind doing some prospecting sometime.  I have a Garrett ACE 350 Metal detector and sluice.

Hi All, I live in Florida but will be in Kansas City, MO area next week and would love to get with someone and either metal detect or do a little panning and sluicing. I have a link to public areas in Missouri but don't have any clue where they are in relation to where I will be. http://mdc4.mdc.mo.gov/ap...ID=guest&txtAreaNm=s Is the Missouri Department of Conservation site.
