We have a Keene P185H pump with a Honda GX200 motor for our 3" dredge. The motor runs like a champ.

Our question is what is the best and easiest way to prime this pump. We fill the intake hose to full capacity with a small electric pump but still it doesn't pump any water. We put the foot valve up stream to try and keep the intake hose full. The foot valve has a one way flapper in it to supposedly keep the water from draining when the pump is shut down and it seems to be working however we still can't get the damn thing to pump.

We're have a tough time getting this pump to pump water. Our frustration level is off the charts!

    Thanks for any help --------------------------------------

Have you tried calling Keene? 818-993-0411- I called to ask about the small dredges and spoke to Mark. He is on a couple of the videos they have out right now, and very helpful! Try giving them a ring.

We found when I attach the high presser hose to pump do so that is in somewhat upward angle. Then pump pick up useing flapper to force water through pump The higher angle in the HP hose will hold more water in the pump when motor is started. Should be good to go dredging
