Are there any public areas where you can use a dredge and/or sluice box? Looking for directions, crossroads, landmarks, etc. We are not from the area so we don't have any idea where to start. Also, anyone know anything about prospecting in the Brown County State Park? We've panned in Morgan Monroe, but don't want to haul all of our equipment (pumps and sluice) if we can't find anywhere to use it. Thanks all!

Go to Gatesville IN its close to Brown County. Look up Gatesville Country Store. You can access Salt Creek there and it’s free. The owner is Robin and she has a little restaurant there so we always have at least one meal there. The bonus is the foods good.

    Richard,
We're practically neighbors, I live in Franklin county, IN.
I was asking about Ruth but if you have a place, I'll gladly help when I can. I have a couple of places down here if you want to try them out. Preferably when it gets a little warmer...lol
Although, I'm trying out a new gold sucker tomorrow around scipio, in. I think it will be a very short test...lol
