Someone seems to have lost a 4" Keene dredge with air, a half mile down from Union Flats Campground. Twas snagged on a rock over a nice deep hole, funny to see their other gear nearby just stacked on the rocks like..... nooobodyyyy willl seeeee usss or hear us because of the rapids nearby. Lets smoke another doobie an get to work!
I thought about claiming it but didn't really feel like getting shot. Not sure why it was left in the open where it could be seen from the road (if you look closely).
I don't feel it is very fair that some should be going about business as usual, and don't think the treehuggers aren't going to find out, and even more it puts a dent in our ability to
get back in the water legally.
I don't doubt that there is dredging going on all over the state, banks are getting robbed, drivers are driving drunk and so who's to care if we break the laws.
If you have to dredge, don't be so lame about it, get outta site, away from where people (like me) might be just wandering around looking for pretty rocks.

An older fellow said the easiest way to get gold in CA. is to buy it in a bar for 60% of spot, saves you a lot of work.
