I’ve studied this quite a bit. I’m a contractor and use quickcrete products continuously. I’ve found that there products are usually gathered and packaged as close to the selling area as possible.
So no luck here in Ky. I do get plenty of interest on a job site when I pull out a pan and do a test. I enjoy sharing the hobby.
Gold pan, never leave home without it!

Quickrete all purpose sand is bagged in the general area where it is sold. I live in S.E. Pennsylvania and tried a couple of bags i got for another project and didn't get anything. Someone at Lowes said the bags come from southern Delaware.

Just bought a 50lb bag of playground sand from Lowe's for 3 bucks. Ran it through the Multi Sluice, I could not believe it, I actually found 2 small flakes.

Depends where the sand is from, and if that is a gold area.

The sand Tom was going through was local sand in CA.  It is from an area where gold is know to exist.   You need to know where there is gold in your area, and then see if it is commercially dug,

It was sand and it was in CA.  The "video" is on You Tube.
