I'm form Mount Olive. Spent most my years in road construction searching for gravel/sand deposits to lab tech. I turned most areas around Miss into swiss cheese.  I would test the material for grvl/snd gradation and design the mix, if it was good, then set up the pit to be mined.  When that one's set it's time for the next location.  Spent most my time in the seats of many diff pieces of equipment.  My all time favorite was the Dredge ( 9"-15") my favorite was a 350hp 11".  There's a lot of GOLD in the roads of America, even here in Mississippi 99% of it powder Gold but color just the same.  I've seen a lot of yellow stuff but was not in that business BEFORE... Now it's my time to mine what I want out of the ground and by-golly I know I can get it !  maybe tootin my own horn but somebody's got to do it. So I guess this is like a job application to be part of a team.  I'm looking for like minded people that have the GOLD FEVER and want to do a little prospecting / maybe find some color.  Look forward to scratchun a few rocks an maybe dipping a pan or two!

Adam, I am over in Milton, FL. I know there is a club down in Biloxi. I drive up to Buchanan, GA to the GPAA Farm claim. Nice folks there. A lot of them go to the Alabama Gold Camp. I also know of a GPAA club in Coker Creek TN. All about the same distance from you.

Tim, thank you for the info. Maybe I should reword somehow. I'm trying to find someone around my home who would perhaps like to team up and travel to Alabama Gold Camp and to Coker Creek just to name two locations of many.

Peter, I joined GPAA in Dec 2013. So I have not amassed any equipment yet. Still studying the different types/brands and good buys. Just in the info gathering stages, but anxious for my first outing even if it's just pan in hand.
