    Hi Folks.

Just joined the GPAA today. I live in the great gold prospecting State of Florida. However, I do get make trips to Georgia and the Carolinas a few times a year so I am looking forward to getting expert at panning with time. My last visit to Dahlonega got me hooked.

While in Florida, I spend my time urban prospecting for gold jewelry, usually at the beaches.

Just wanted to say hello and that I look forward to learning this hobby even better through the GPAA.

    Scott,

Welcome to the GPAA family. I also live in Florida near Pensacola. As an LDMA member, I go to Cleveland and Dahlonega GA quite a bit. I also go to the Farm Claim in Buchanan Ga. One of the closer claims is Curvins Cow Pasture in Alabama. The owner just added more property to the lease so we now have access to almost a mile of creek. I hope to run into you on one of the claims or leases soon. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I am also the current Florida State Director fir the GPAA.

Hi, I too live in the panhandle of Florida. I try to get up to Alabama Gold Camp when home. I'm currently a contractor working in Afghanistan. Interested in Curvin's Cow Pasture this July when home for some much needed RnR. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Been panning for about a year and just picked up a Gold Hogg Stream Sluice, Used for about 3 days so far. So guess I'm still a greenhorn but looking forward to learning all about this hobby.

The problem with Georgia is it's almost all privately owned. Been to Gold - n - Gems a few times. New dirt after the big dig is horrible. 3 days of running nothing but clay with almost no gold. So best of luck there.

    Anyway, good luck everyone.

I live in alabama. Been to alabama gold camp. Lots of gold highbanking but its tiny specks. Haven't had a chance to goto curvins yet. Went to the talledega n. Forest panning. Lots of tiny stuff there too. I hear georgia is your best bet for bigger stuff.
