I want to give incredible thanks and appreciation to a BLM officer people have nicked named "7 Clips". He got the nickname because he caries 6 clips and one in the pistol, but I have never called him that and I personally think it is an insult. His name is Ted and he works in Colorado where my claims are. He comes down and checks on us to make sure we are not trespassing and sometimes just to talk. If you are breaking the law he is going to address it certainly. Over the last few years our organization has had a terribly problem with claim jumpers and Ted has been a major help in keeping the river free of trespassers and jerkoffs.

A lot of us have complained about the BLM over the years but I have to give credit when it deserves it. Right now the BLM and Forestry Department are being shot at on a regular basis, so much they have removed their logos from most vehicles, this is just wrong. These men and women are here to help us, if you have a problem with the BLM don't get involved with the officer, instead ask for their card and then go to the local BLM office and complain.

Most of us carry large caliber handguns while prospecting because of cougars, bears, and the two legged indigenous crack head species, these are our true dangers, and the BLM officers are there to help.

We actually enjoy his company and over two years have developed a good relationship, and that is because we abide by the laws we have to, and which he is there to enforce. Where my claims are I can count on the BLM to have my back, and in return I have theirs, and this is the way every law abiding citizen should think. But what do I know, my family line was some of the first Texas Rangers, and I don't mean the baseball team.

Work with your BLM and forestry officers, they have a hard and dangerous job, get to know them, and don't break the law.

    Thank you Ted

7 standard magazines of .45 + 1 in the gun = 1 full box of 50... Pretty hefty.
