Anyone in the Wallowa county Oregon area? I am in Enterprise. Seeking other members or local chapter.

Closest ones seem to be all the way across the state on the West coast.

    Cheers!

There maybe a club in Baker City. Or maybe join the Eastern Oregon club. Good luck on the gold.

There is EMOA, I think their dues are around $75 a year.  Just heard of another club in Baker yesterday, but no info on it.  I will contact the minerals/mining rep on our RAC and see if she is OK with PM'ing you her contact info, to see if there is anything out there.  The outing at Burnt River is like $100 for the three days.  The caretakers have put up a post in the chapter events page, with contact info to make reservations.

No chapters over there yet, but Boise not too far away as a last resort.

Thanks. There is a club in Baker and I dropped them an email but have not yet heard back.

The Burnt river is 3 hours away which is not too bad. I'm checking the mining guide for the claims in that area.

4 around the LDMA camp.  One downriver, have not been to it.  The two adjoining about 3 miles upriver from LDMA we sampled several years ago when they were first put in the guide.  Got skunked on them but didn't spend a lot of time sampling.  The 4th one is Eagle, and across the river from Dark Canyon Road.  No access when we were over there, but is usually a dry ravine this time of year.

Sent you a PM with contact info for someone in Baker who will know who to get hold of.  Have fun.
