I am trying new combos of materials in my hi-banker.  I am currently set up with just Keene Miracle Mat under the riffle bars.

I have not tried it yet, but, plan to at the Loud Mine Outing next week.  I will bring the carpet, moss and expanded metal with me in case this turns out to be an ineffective  combination.

Has anyone else tried the Keene Miracle Mat?  Luck or No luck?

Greatly appreciate all the fantastic people in this hobby and their willingness to share their hard won knowledge!

Hey Brad, if you haven't yet, contact Gold Hog and tell them the specifics on your unit, and how you plan to use it and where.  Mike gave me a recomendation within 24 hours for my 2 1/2 inch older Keene dredge.  His recomendation was forall Talon, but have not ordered of even got it up and going yet, and the season is just about closed here except for a couple of areas.

No experience to help you out, sorry.

    Thank you sir!

I will report back after next week on the All Miracle Mat in my 2.5" set up.

The darn hog mats are pricey and a pain to cut and put together, but, they work well (the washer mat in particular) for doing a clean up. The keene miracle mat is in the same price range, but, comes pre-cut in the right sizes for our hi-banker/dredge combos!

Regards and may your cons be gold filled!

I will second Arthur's comments, the Gold Hog Mats are the best I have ever seen and allow you to run a great deal of material and quickly at that. They have a lot of different mats to choose from depending on the type of material you are working with.

When you go to do your cleanup using the Gold Hog mats you will be surprised that the only thing you find in your cons is black sand and gold, most of the blondes have already been cleaned out for you. And I personally was shocked to see the amount of really fine gold that was trapped along with the chunkier stuff.

Still considering it.  Mike said mine really didn't have the flow rate and was a fairly short box, which was why he suggested the Talon all the way through.  Need to have 3 segments to do the whole box, so have not decided to pull the trigger yet, got to get her set up first.  And older Keene 2 1/2 with the 3 hp briggs and a 1 inch outlert Keene pump.   Was riginally on inner tubes, but no frame or floats came with her, so am going to put her on regular floats, not any king of inflatables.
