Yep, the 4x6 is the Eclipse SE.  I'll look into the other one.  Was not said but do have a set of headsphones from the manufact. as well.  Lot of trash from prior mining and logging operations in the gold areas over here on the west side, and not many nuggets.  Only things found over on the Starla's by Burnt River LDMA was a severly flattened bullet and some barb wire in the two times it got used.  Just got to get out and play with her..........

No one has mentioned Whites Spectra V3i,

Is this a viable detector one might consider for gold hunting in the mountains and occasional beach use.

The V3i is a great detector and I have tested for prospecting with good results. I did have a few issues with really hot ground here in Arizona but other than that, a good choice.
I have pretty much decided over the years that I use specific machines for specific task. Separate machines for each discipline. Underwater, Park & Beach, Deep relic and of course nugget hunting are all separate machine for me.
Now I know that most people just have one or two detectors that they use for everything and that is perfectly fine as long as the detector can function properly for each type of detecting.
