North of Windmill

Have found very fine gold in Weaver Cr wash north of windmill. I used mini highbanker but others using dry washers. Soft sand can be a problem. Cattle around so be sure to fill in holes.

 

12/16 Only claim in AZ I found some gold

Worked the wash near the first claim marker for about a week, countless buckets found maybe a gram, lots of hard work for very little. Also walked endlessly swinging a Nokta Gold found nothing .

 

Metal Detecting Difficult

Lots of trash even in the far reaches of the claim. Tried washes, benches, and higher ground and found lots of bullets, rusted steel, and nails. Other methods besides detecting might be better. Definitely need a high clearance 4X$ for the road into the claim.

My wife and I have been to these claims several times . We were just North of the windmill yesterday and dug seven 1/2 buckets of material. There was a little gold in each one.

 

Found a little shiny

Worked near big rock pile in the south center of the claim and did about 400 shovels and found a little bit. Had a great time and beautiful scenery
