The Gold Miner

A Poem by a GPAA Member

from the 2020 January/February Gold Prospectors Magazine

THE GOLD MINER

I left the city lands behind and searched and searched for that yellow shine.

I wandered through the wild lands and found my peace away from man,

I grew with nature and our beautiful land,

no longer mattered how much gold in hand.

The journey I've taken changed this man,

I'll keep on drifting through this beautiful land

for it's not how much I find

but what this way of life that's far more richer than the find.
