Hello all. New here & have only been prospecting for 5 months or so. I wanted to say hello first and foremost and I'm looking forward to getting to know this community and meeting some folks here in AZ.

I was hoping someone could help me with this outcropping I found yesterday out near the San Domingo Wash. It was completely covered by han-piled rocks behind the barrel cactus. Someone definitely covered it and I happened upon it by chance. I didn't even see any quartz stringers on it so I’m wondering why they went through the trouble to covered it.

I think it's mica schist bedrock (best inexperienced guess) and to my knowledge that isn't gold bearing. Probably wrong on that but does anyone else know what I have here and if it's worth pursing?
