Desert Fox was a pile of expensive junk for me. I now pan all my gold clean inexpensively, with the brilliant designed blue, two riffle stage Keene gold pan… with the ultra fine ridge in the bottom of the pan. With practice, using the “tap, tap” method, tweezers and a small plastic snuffer, it recovers virtually all the gold, and NO black sand…for less than $20!!!
