My brothers and myself year after year look forward to he annual gold show. This year I hate to say we were highly disappointed. The ad for the show said there were to be seminars. We planned on staying the whole day to see the show and then sit in on all the seminars. There weren't any seminars! We stayed a little while looking at the products and then went home. Basically, we paid for parking and an entrance fee to have the right to buy products. I hope this doesn't happen next year.

    Hi Larry,

Sorry to see your disappointment. You must have seen an older ad that needed to be updated, but assure you the rest of this year's Gold Shows are scheduled to have seminars.

The reason being is that in the past we usually have a booth area on the floor where we conduct the seminars but have found it to be too noisy and hard on the presenters to continue on. So in an attempt to provide a better learning experience and presentation, we will now try hosting the seminars in a separate room which unfortunately was not available in Pomona this year.

Hopefully this answers your concern and we hope to see you again at future Gold Shows to come.

    Happy Prospecting!

    Larry,

First off, I would like to thank you for attending the Pomona Gold Show! All reports are that it was a very helpful event for the prospecting industry, and many of the participants complimented us on how much information was available. I share your concern about a need for the lecture series. We have invested recently to improve the attendee experience in hopes everyone can take more away from the event. As Paul mentioned, we are moving our lecture series into a separate space to eliminate unnecessary noise. All of the remaining facilities will have a separate lecture hall, with a full line of informative lectures for the attendees.

The Pomona Fairplex was unable to offer a reasonable solution to this issue, so we were unable to offer lectures this year. We are already in talks with a number of venues to secure a solution which will allow us to offer this experience to our Southern California audience. We are hoping to announce our schedule within the next few months.

If I do not see you at any future Gold & Treasure Shows in 2015, I look forward to seeing you at the lecture series in 2016! Thank you for your support.

Hit the nail on the head...my exact comment!  I saw the seminars briefed on the GPAA site...the video specifically about the Pomona Show.  One of the vendors said that he was to present a seminar, but they cancelled due to no room to setup the seminar.  This was my first show too...all the way from Maryland...what a bummer! On the plus side, my wife and I got to meet Kael Massie after having watched him for years on Gold fever...what a nice boy and boy has he grown!  Also got to meet Kevin Hoagland...a knowledgeable and pleasant person to speak to!
