I went to join the GPAA today and no direct access from the new GPAA to join. I then called and was informed I would only receive the 2012 book and that once the 2014 book is out I would need to renew my membership in order to get the 2014 book or join for two years and then get both books. Why on earth do I want the 2012 book if the 2014 book is going to have more up to date info. on open and closed claims. I think new members should get the 2012 and 2014 book when the 2014 book becomes available. Why am I being penalized for joining now and not getting the newer book when it becomes available?

Current members have the same deal, must be a 2 or 3 year renewal to get the new guide when it comes out.  (supposed to be sometime this fall, last rumor I had).   You will need the updates since the 2012 guide came out, hopefully they will send the Dec. P&S that had all of them with your package.  That update does not have the maps or GPS figures, just the name and state mining claim numbers to work with.

Down at the bottom of the page on community there is a membership button, that will get you to a login or register, then you can go for either one, two ,or three years from there, or life if you want to go that route.   I see that membership button at the bottom of the reply box as I'm typing this as well.

So in hopes someone from the GPAA staff is watching. I joined in Fresno at the Gold Expo for 3 years. Does that mean I do or do not get the new mining guide in the fall?
