On my way to my first outing.  Alabama Gold Camp, I'm looking for input from someone who's been there. As in what I can expect to see while there.  I'm bringing some homemade equipment but I understand that there is some equipment that can be rented.  Any and all input you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Just returned from Alabama Gold Camp. Nice,Nice and Great. Really nice and clean place. Everyone working there is very nice and helpful. The gold we returned with is Great, from the little paydiirt I bought to the Gold we found. We found more gold than paydiirt and the paydirt paid for itself. We had a great time. One of the other campers taught us about Highbanking by letting us help load. From our share we came back with some yellow stuff. From our prospecting we found enough fine gold to pay for the whole trip. The seven hour drive to get there was well worth it and am already planning the next trip there. But first it's time for Tenn.

I Love going to Alabama Gold Camp. We were there in early Sept as well. Had plans to go to Goldzilla commons and missed out due to a cold. Hope to meet you there someday. My husband and I try to get there as often as his work allows. We plan on Ga. to be our next adventure.

The kids and I have been there many times...always fun. Never been there in a tent and have always rented a Cabin which is comfortable and very reasonable. Folks are are always nice too and very helpful. You can rent Hi Bankers or dredges or simply pan in the creek. One of the best things is, limited cell service while you mining..ha...the store has network and better cell service if you just have to check in with someone....very relaxing.
