My wife and I are planning a winter thanksgiving, or Christmas/ New Years vacation out west this year.  The choices we have are Nevada, Arizona, or New Mexico.  We have a few pans, a blue bowl, a stream sluice, and a multi sluice.  As Montana will be heading into the -20s this time of year, some place warm would be nice.  We are both new to this.  She is a rock hound and would love to fine cool Rocks/Gems.  I on the other hand think yellow as in the color of gold is more cool.

And suggestions?  Guided mining trips?  Do I need to get a dry washer or can one rent a dry washer?
