I've bought several bags of pay dirt. I have found that they are selling for about $100 per gram. Sometimes more. good luck. It has been fun every time. Fantastic practice , but it's nothing like the real thing.

Great thread!

There are a few places listed here I've yet to check out, so THANKS! I like to feel somewhat well rounded when it comes to reviewing.

For my own personal review - my TOP pick for pay dirt is MDV over at Ipan4gold.com.

I'm in Missouri, That state containing no gold right? So I'm kinda stuck with my options - with that, I to have tried many places,

Amazon, Yuba, decent for the price

Gold rush pay dirt - yeah, the show. This is a team working with Parker. The idea is awesome, ( if you like Parker and Gold rush ) but the ROI is horrible. I wont dis them anymore than that as They HAVE produced some pretty amazing things for me, ( owner of a John Schnable and Parker Schnable autograph. How cool is that? )

GoldHog, awesome stuff, the gems do rock! more importantly, his Goldhog mats just ROCK at picking up the fine gold through my sluice. The guy is also just a serious wealth of information.

Crissom mine, again, really great stuff here, the gem backs are LOADED with kick butt rocks and gems. the gold is chunky GA gold at its finest.

Jimbo's Gold, ( won a bag from goldprospectorspace.com ( really great site with amazing people ) was extremely impressed with the bag I got, I may at some point revisit this guy.

point being, I've tried quite a few. Canada, Alaska ( Eureka ) Colorado, Arizona, GA ) They all have good points, some way better than others..

but hands down, I will, and always will remain a faithful customer to Ipan4gold.com.

He has, without a doubt, never sold me a light bag of cons. The ROI has always been tops and the gold itself, chunky chunky and clunky!

( When my mom and mom in law ask me what I want for birthday and christmas - I send them this link! Ipan4gold.com )

I think besides the fact his pay dirt pays off ( big time ), is that the guy has been THE most personable guy in this business I've ever met. Truly a class act.

For any sellers out there looking to succeed in this business. This is a guy to mirror yourself to..

so yeah, That's my story - I'm stickin to it..

I've tried quite a few, only had a few that were really disappointments..

Ipan4gold.com has never. ever. been one of them.

Thanks Brad!  Will likely purchase then from both sources even tho' Lynch has done a bit of overkill with ad-bombing... It's annoying. I like the idea of sending my sister some of the Lynch cons as both she and I make wire work jewelry so the stones would come in handy once they were tumbled shiny. I also want to order from Goldadventures as he sells custom bags for a very reasonable price.  I've seen good things about Gold Hogs gemstone bag as well.

Appreciate the input!

Cheers,

Mary

Brad, how many pounds was that please?

And what other stones were in the Gizmo bag?

Planning on purchasing more paydirt when I get finished moving and am trying to decide between Felix and Lynch...

Thanks in advance,

Mary

Mary,

This is the 1lb pound Gizmo bag.  I was very impressed with it.  I ran a second bag and got the almost exactly the same visual amount of gold.  I have not dried and weighed it.  I will order again.  In addition to gold, we found peridot, a really nice kidney bean sized deep purple amethyst, an emerald with decent clarity and several pea sized peridot of good clarity.

Lynch Mining put together a very nice bag for the money...especially so with the discount they offered to GPAA for Independence Day

Rhett may have ad-bombed the site, but, anyone who took advantage of the offer likely were impressed and, in my opinion, no false advertising there!

Ipan4gold.com  great bags with many flakes some gram+ nuggets

Crissongoldmine.com  never been skunked and have had some really nice pickers and nuggets from the least expensive bags

Gold-n-Gem Grubbin  great bag for the money

Thermal City Gold Mine  a fantastic bag, many gems and chunky gold

Lucky Strike  similar to Thermal City, but, a few dollars more per bag

Martin Prospecting  inexpensive and a good ROI

Heritage Gold Mine Park  inexpensive, with flake, flour and the occasional picker

Lynchmining.com  impressive returns and good sized gold, see pick on previous page, with some nice gems

I have a hard time spending more than $50-60 on a bag of dirt, but, anyone of the vendors mentioned above have left me feeling like I got my money's worth.

If you can, label individual vials from each supplier you use and track the visual amount and weight of gold that you recover over time to understand where YOU feel best spending money on a bag of dirt.

Hi Jonathan Sever

I just wanted to mention that when I ordered multiple bags from vagoldseeker2014 half a year and 2 years ago I didn't receive what you claim to have gotten, 50 to 75% ROI. He may have stepped up his game the last few months but, if you say so yourself I will purchase another bag to see if it complies with your statement, I'm open minded! I do know that the largest price paydirt bag that he sells is $49 and it's definitely not 1 gram in gold. Gold by the ounce right now is $1,317.80 and for $49 you will get AT LEAST 1 gram of gold from us at lynchmining.com + real gems. Most of our customers have reported on "average" 1.3 grams of gold when we were selling it at $42 a bag, Gizmo's paydirt that is.

We have almost completely stopped selling paydirt on ebay due to the magnitude of ridiculous fees as we pay over $5000+ to ebay in fees each month + we sell more bags via our Website than any other online marketplace. To be honest there is no point for us to sell on ebay anymore... We will also be at almost every GPPA Gold Show in 2017.

You will be able to find us in the GPPA Gold Prospectors Magazine as well as the Pick & Shovel newspaper in the next coming issues.

If you have any questions please let us know and you can email us at info@lynchmining.com and one of us will respond within 24 hours.

I would also like to ask, I see in your photo your in a prospecting shop. Do you work there or just a customer? We would be open to setting up a paydirt deal or a consignment deal if authorized. You can also reach us at 877 865 7449.

Kindest Regards,

LOL, you are selling a 49$ bag and you guarantee 1 gram in a 49$ bag.  you must get free labor , free machines , free equipment , and free fuel to have a cost ratio like that. Or you just get free paydirt and sell it. come on man , who is gonna beleive that you sell paydirt for no or very little profit. also..... i see you sell 5 pound bags for 35.00$ and no guarantee of gold amount , here is the quote from your site on those 5lb. bags " each bag will contain gold garaunteed. The amount of gold will vary."  so you sell no differently than those on ebay or where ever. besides you can get 8lbs. for 35.00$ from Vagoldseeker and he will give you the same gaurantee. And if you become a regular buyer like myself he will start adding really nice gems , i have alot of amythest , ruby, and quartz from him.  And im sure that if he wanted to he could salt a bag with rich gold and sell if for the going price of gold as you are. so , see./.......... you are really no different of a seller. BLAST!!

Congrats Rhett, but beware, there is some little monster out there saying "MY PRECIOUS"

My goal for this year is to have collected enough gold to hand make our wedding rings from the pure gold we extracted from the ground, but also hopefully enough to do a lot more. We have rings but they are the diluted 14k making, I want real gold that we pulled out of the ground together, they are OUR rings of raw gold.

Adding my Congrats to Rhett.  Any woman would be foolish to turn him down with a rock like that! Lol!

Anyway, if I recall what I have read correctly, isn't the average "wild" gold we pan about 22k? If the ring band is thick enough, that should hold up just fine. Might need the occasional polish if treated roughly at all, but most fine gold jewelry I've seen in and from India does not seem to break down easily. I'm planning on using the nuggets as is for jewelry making. Raw nugget decoration has a charm all it's own...

Arthur you are right that it is a great motivator but I beg to differ on the softness. Maybe if you wear a thin ring it will be soft, but with a thick and wide band it is more then enough to stay true to it's shape and I would like to see a quarter ounce on my wife's finger, she can show it off when she is not slapping my head with it.

Anything much over 14K will be so soft they would not be viable in day to day wear.  I constantly lightly bend my 10K at work.

But, I have to admit, that is a good way to get the future better half to (wo)man the shovel

I've bought a pound of Lyra's Alaska and 1/4 of Yuba river off of Amazon. Lyra's was a let down, but the Yuba surprised me. They each produced about the same amount of gold, but the Yuba had 3 really nice pickers.
Seconded on the Yuba dirt! I had good results too. Will post pics if I ever get around to posting from the laptop.

Lyra was a bit of a disappointment, but you do get what you pay for. It's $17.00 per lb. on Amazon but only $11.00 per lb. off their website, so if you get $10.00 or less worth of gold, that's only to be expected. There is more expensive paydirt available, much of it with a 1 gram guarantee. I'll be going with those in the future...

While I am not against advertising what you have for sale, there is a page for that.  This thread was for discussion of WHERE to purchase.  You have managed to plaster most of the site with your ads peddling your material.  I think enough is enough.

Not yet, I just received my order this morning. Packaging is tight and no spillage what so-ever.   I ordered 3 different ones, and will report back, probably later this weekend after I get done prospecting in the local creeks.
