How do y'all run your sluice with her expanded metal?
Do you run to to the top riffle or from the bottom up and leave that carpet space on the top ?

Does any one see any difference over there time if they ran it both ways ?

    Thanks guys

    Kris,

I run hog matting (two types spliced together) for the two feet and then run moss over v-matting under the riffles, from the bottom.

This set up works for highbanker, dredge or running the A52 in a decent flowing stream. Using a mat up top allows you to check for gold quickly.

I use Gorilla Tape to hold the gold hog matting in place. The riffles hold the rest of the moss/mats in place further down the sluice.

    Hope that this helps!

I run mine from the bottom riffles and than I put a piece of miners moss in the top two carpet sections

Don't add miners moss or make other mods to the box itself. It works great if setup properly.... Keene knows what they are doing...

James how does that drop in classifier work ? And does it interfere with the water flow cause it looks like it only allows 1/2-3/4" of water under it

Works like a charm, shovel straight into. if you have the box setup correctly and ample water flow you only need a bout an inch of water regardless.... For deeper faster water it really helps by smoothing out the water and reduces the turbulent changes in water flow. I feel using this plaining technique has definitely decreased any loss rate of gold due to blow outs from water level changes...
