looking at taking a trip to lucky strike mine in nc around 2nd week in march any imfo about the camp would be great, camping with a rv, thanks

Lucky Strike and Thermal City are both relatively close together. Vein Mountain (LDMA Camp) is close by as well. It is not open currently. I did better with a day trip to Lucky Strike than a similar day trip to Thermal City....it all came down to needing more time to actively prospect my area to dig. Either way, both pay to play sites are fun and provide color! Camping is allowed at both sites. I am not sure of hookups. I would assume that they have water and elect with a dump station. They both have shower houses.

thanks brad, ive been to thermal city and liked it there but there not open till march 15th lucky strike is open year round by there web site. racing season starts march 18 so we were looking to go before that. also considered gold and gem grubbing in Georgia which is not much more south for me, not sure if they have full hook up camping
