I have lived in Fairbanks for ten years and it really isn't that bad especially since wages are higher. If your a tourist it can seem bad since hotels in the summer can be pricey since the whole state is a tourist trap lol. I haven't done much gold prospecting up here yet (I'm new to gpaa) but plan on getting started this summer.

Maybe we can meet up if I end up in Fairbanks. There are nearly always job postings there and I was going to give it a pass originally due to It being landlocked. I prefer coastal areas, but have since reassessed that as Fairbanks area is supposed to be good for prospecting!

Well, our official designation according to ASCP is clinical laboratory scientist.
I work in the hospital lab running blood tests and such. 29 years at it now. There is market shortage making temping more tempting
