    We live here in Wetumpka,Al. Smack dab in the crater. Over the past 2 years we have been panning and sluicing in a few different spots in our area. Letting the kids play and join in when they want to help. Soaking up the great out doors and enjoying what mother nature has gave us. As new members of the GPAA, we were hoping to find a local chapter to join. With a little research I've not found any in our area. How would we go about finding members in our local area and maybe forming our own chapter here in the Crater of Wetumpka!

    Call the main office, and tell them what you have put up in your post.  They can help out by sending cards to past and present members in the area and give you a proposed ad for local media to get an "interest" meeting set up.

    Wetumpka is about an hours drive from AGC. Nice group go people there and in the Chapter in North Alabama.
