Does anyone know much about St Johns County in Arizona. I was wondering if it is known to have placer gold? tried to find some info, but no better source than our well traveled members.

I didn't see anything in the claims book or right next door in New Mexico. Maybe some of the Arizona members have been out that way.

The area is not known for placer gold. Lots of cinders other minerals/elements. They used to mine Uranium and vanadium up on the Navajo reservation a long time ago (NE corner of Apache county).
