This is a pay to dig site. The lady that owns this property is very helpful. They have turned the old mining camp into a really nice outdoor museum. Lots of artifacts including the hydro-mining canons. Easy walk to the dig area. I panned about 10 pans. 9 of the 10 pans had a few pepper sizes and 1 pan had a small picker. Best time to dig here is when Crow Creek is at it's lowest. The gold seems to be in the high flood piles and deep into the bottom of the rushing glacier waters. When you pay, you get a bag of paydirt too! I'm going back next summer with a sluice.
