    Hi I'm Shane -

I moved to the Denver area early last year and have been spending a lot of time on the rivers in and around the area looking for gold.  I've had a bit luck every time, of course not enough gold to retire on - of course that's not really my goal..I just like getting out there away from the city.

I recently decided to start sharing some of my gold prospecting, metal detecting and experiment videos on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/kleshguitars . I decided to join the GPAA because I'd like to learn as much as possible on the subject, gain access to claims, and gain knowledge from you all in an effort to make my YouTube channel even better.

I just enjoy getting outside and spending time on the river or mountains, the gold I find is just a bonus!

Thanks and I'm happy to be a GPAA member!

    -Shane

    Welcome Shane,

After you have checked out the GPAA claims in your area, jump over to golddredgerdotcom
The fellow that runs that board is in the Denver area and could point you to some area's to check out
    Leonard the goldenoptimist.

So much river....So little time....Get out there

    Hey Shane,

Welcome to the forum. I've been a subscriber to your youtube channel for a bit now, glad to see you signed up for the GPAA. I spent a few years living in Colorado Springs, but am located on the Pacific Coast now. Much like yourself, I'm new to the GPAA too. Just getting out for some therapy time on the river and/or in the mountains is great, and finding a bit of gold makes it even greater.

    Good luck and happy hunting.
