    Hello fellow prospectors!

I’m only on year 2 in GPAA, and this is post 1 for me!

I’m up in WA, impatiently waiting for the season to get going and ordered a gold hog raptor, which I plan on using both as a highbanker and dredge.

My question is: has anyone tried using a jet intake/flare on one of these machines? If so, do you like the results?

May your pans resemble the yellow brick road!

I think if you used such a device that the emulation of the water would cause ether capitation of the pump or collapsing of the hose. I wouldn't recommend it.

I run a gold hog raptor using a 3 inch hydroforce nozzle and use it as a dredging highbanker. For the extra fine glacial gold here in Ohio, I added a extension. The pump is a 2 inch Northern tool high pressure pump, a trash pump just doesn't have enough oomph to run the nozzle properly. The maiden run was just last weekend and it runs a little hot at about 1/3 throttle, so I need to add a curtain to help control the water some on the headerbox to stop the overshooting water missing the boiler box.
The mats were capturing 300 to 400 micron sized gold. Is was still capturing the garnet and black sands too.
