I live in New England and travel quite a bit, and I'm constantly asking myself "how do I get my equipment out here?" I have a kit that I use here at home that condenses into a pack, and carry my stream sluice which is great. I also own a hard rock claim North of Wickenburg which requires a whole different set of tools. My issue is do I ship my sluice? Check it as a bag and risk TSA destroying it? Should I rent equipment from a local shop? Any ideas??

Check out a folding sluice
The one I have seen would fit into a carry on, for sure a checked bag
Although, TSA may not like it no matter what

I've seen a few and had looked into the ASR outdoor 50" but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm trying to figure out a way to get a recirculating system/mini high banker with me as not everywhere I travel to had access to water nearby.

Have you looked at a Gold Cube? I bought a lockable tote for mine so I can take it back and forth in my truck on those bumpy Arizona roads.
I typically run a 15 gallon set up in the same tote recirculating the water and filtering as much of the clay out as I can. Normally I can get 20-30 5 gallon buckets through before I need to start cleaning the water. I normally clean my top tray every 5-10 buckets in the field. I’m packing in my own water in buckets with tight lids.
The tote box I use for the gold cube could easily be shipped or checked in baggage. It’s under 50 pounds with everything except the water.
